My Jobs

I am sean. My job in your village is the lead castle guard, protecting and keeping you safe. I am well trained, veteran of many battles and and will honourably fight for you in many battles to come.

I will also be running a farm in your village and will supply your castle with many of my vegetables and the finest meats and my vineyard will bring you fine wine of all ages.

I will also have one of my finest soldiers jeremy by my side. Jeremy and I both are willing to die for you in battle and have fought together many times and we will assure you that you will never be harmed ever in your reign of this village.

Positive Digitive Footprint

It’s pretty important to have a positive digital footprint in your workplace. Some people have been fired because of the negative things they have shown online.

It will be very hard to be employed in some circumstances because some employers now look up the person online before giving them the job.

So no matter what  make sure you have a positive digital footprint online.

Mapping

maps 043

In our class this week we have been drawing a plan view map from a satellite image.

We learnt the free different views as well. Bird’s eye view (from the top), Oblique view (from the air in an angle) and ground view (from the ground).

This is my Plan view that I have done of a little town down the east coast of Tasmania.

Triumph Over Adversity

1.Neil Armstrong: Walking on the moon is a really big ‘triumph over adversity’ because the adversities he faced were really some pretty difficult ones like blowing up on take off, meteor shower, technical problem with the ship and you can’t be 100% sure what the moon will do to you when you leave the ship.

2.Convict In Early Tasmania: An early convict surviving in early Tasmania (Van Diemans Land) would be a pretty big ‘triumph over adversity’. They wouldn’t know where they were going when they got sent here. Many died on the way and lots more died in the prisons here. Surviving would be a big triumph.

3.Prisoner Of War: Being a prisoner of war and surviving would be one of the most mentally debilitating thing there is. Torture, starvation, seeing your friends tortured and killed in front of you, thinking you’ll never see your family again and worked to death on railways. In WW2 only 51% of all allied prisoners of war survived in the hands of the Japanese Empire. Surviving that is ‘triumph over adversity’.

4.Early Sea Explorer: Being an early sea explorer would be a pretty hard thing to do. You think theres an end of the world, Scurvy, Pirates, Storms and you have no idea whats out there and then you would end travelling all the way around the world even though theres a possibility you might fall off the end of the world.

5.Returned Soldier: Being a returned soldier is pretty hard thing to deal. Flashbacks, Pain due to injuries and being underappreciated by the younger generations for which you fought and lost brothers and friends for. No one knows and cares for what you’ve been through, what you’ve seen, what you’ve experienced but still you struggle on with your life.
